Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how N IT Services ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the HomeBite mobile application and related services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, phone number, email address, profile photo, community/locality.
- Order information: items ordered, delivery address within your community, delivery notes, order history.
- Payment information: payment is processed by Razorpay. We store only the Razorpay order/payment identifiers and the payment status. We do not store your card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank credentials.
- Device information: device model, OS version, app version, push notification token, approximate location (only if you grant permission).
- User-generated content: dish photos, kitchen photos, reviews, community feed posts.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To process your orders and payments.
- To share your name, phone number and order details with the home chef fulfilling your order so they can prepare and deliver it.
- To send you order status notifications (accepted, preparing, ready, delivered).
- To improve the Service, troubleshoot issues, and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share your information
We share information only with:
- Home chefs: your name, phone number, and order details, so they can fulfil your order.
- Razorpay: to process payments (their privacy policy applies).
- Supabase: our backend database and authentication provider.
- Expo/FCM/APNs: to deliver push notifications.
- Law enforcement or regulators: when required by applicable Indian law.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we retain order and payment records for up to 7 years as required by Indian tax and commerce regulations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
5. Your rights
- Access, correct, or update your profile information at any time from the app.
- Request deletion of your account by emailing contact@n-itservices.com.
- Withdraw consent for notifications from your device settings.
6. Children
HomeBite is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
7. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). Passwords are hashed. Payment data is handled by Razorpay under their PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
